A-         Secretary General, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR)and Director of SRSF (July 2007-June 2010)

  1. Major participation and coordination in preparing the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research (2007-2012).
  2. Follow-up the quality assurance and key performance indicators (KPIs) of the strategic action plans of the public and private universities.
  3.   Supervising the implementation and quality assurance of the following projects and programs:

 

  1. Higher Education Reforms for Knowledge-based Economy Project (HERfKE) in cooperation with the World Bank (WB).
  2. Bridging the Gap between University Graduates and the Requirements of the Labor Market in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
  3. King Abdullah II Prize for Excellence Governmental Performance and Transparency.

H-         Roads Planning Expert & Technical Advisor of  Roads Department, Dubai Municipality, U. A. E., August 1997 – July 2000.  The scope of work involved the following tasks:

 

1-              Preparation of plans and development studies to improve the technical and administrative performance of Roads Department, General Projects Department and Follow-up and Development Office for Roads and General Projects Sector. These studies handled the following main issues :

  2. Total Quality Management ( TQM) and Quality Assurance.

  5. Intelligent Transportation Systems ( ITS).

2-               Development of the existing Pavement Management System ( PMS ) and training the engineers and technicians incharge of the road network pavement evaluation and estimation of maintenance and rehabilitation needs.

 

3-               Preparation of the terms of reference and supervising the study and design stages related to roads rehabilitation projects through international consultants. These projects are :

  1. Rehabilitation of Margham Road ( R657 ) .
  2. Rehabilitation and Road Safety Audit of Hatta Road ( R647 ) .
  3. Rehabilitation and Road Safety Audit of Jabal Ali – Lehbab Road (R708).

 

4-              Chairman of the technical committees  that supervised the study and design stages of the following big road projects through international consultants :

  1. Dubai Ring Road ( R577 and R677 ) .
  2. Improvement of Al Ittihad Road ( R682 ) .
  3. Comprehensive Improvement of interchanges at Sheikh Zayed Road (R659).
