The university health center received 177 patients on Saturday 17/10/2015 with most cases suffering from Respiratory tract infections and digestive system, Tonsillitis, and teeth problems and others.
The University health center also deals and treats many chronic diseases like blood pressure, Arteriosclerosis, and others and dispense medications for such patients. Also, the health center contributes towards supporting and helping Syrian people living close to the university by p[revising them with medical assistance and milk for the children and nutrition free of charge.
It is worth mentioning that the university health center open its doors every Saturday to patients from local communities, where free university transport is provided to bring the patients to the center and return them back, with complex cases referred to hospitals under close monitoring by the center.
The center was established in 1993 to serve both students and staff with a total of three medical doctors, five nurses. The center is supported by an ambulance for emergency cases.
