As part of the First Arab Conference for Scientific Research Development, Al-Zaytoonah University was honored and celebrated by the Association for Arab Universities and the Organization for International Standardization for its contribution in Scientific Research Support.
His Excellency, Professor Turki Obaidat, President of Al-Zaytoonah University received the Shield from Professor Sultan Abu Orabi , the General Secretary of The Association of Arab Universities.
It is worth mentioning that the University expenditure on scientific research has quadrupled over the past four years with 60% of the expenditure was on applicable scientific research that meets the local demand and society needs, especially in medications, cancer treatment, health care, information technology, and renewable energy with the rest of the funding and support distributed to cover national and international conferences and to support publications and research evaluations. Such funding and support resulted in remarkable increase in the published work in reputable scientific Journals.
وشكل دعم مشاريع البحث العلمي التطبيقية التي تلبي الأولويات البحثية الوطنية وحاجات المجتمع المحلي 60% من الإنفاق، خاصة في مجالات علم الأدوية وعلاج السرطان والرعاية الصحية والطاقة المتجددة وتكنولوجيا المعلومات. أما باقي الإنفاق فيتوزع على دعم المؤتمرات الداخلية والخارجية ودعم النشر وتقييم الأبحاث والمخطوطات والرسائل الجامعية وحوافز الباحثين.
