Researchers from Al-Zaytoonah University are among the most influential in the world
– Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan recorded a new scientific achievement for its researchers, as two researchers were ranked among the list of the highest-citing researchers for their scientific research for the year 2022. Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al-Thunaibat from the Software Engineering Department and Dr. Shadi Al-Zoubi from the Computer Science Department at the College of Science and Information Technology was ranked among the top 2 % of the world’s scientists (200,409) researchers from around the world and (118) Jordanian researchers.
The President of the University, Dr. Muhammad Al-Majali, congratulated the researchers, stressing that this comes from the great interest the university attaches to scientific research, which it considers one of its first priorities and one of its primary goals, through which it aspires to achieve its global mission in spreading knowledge in addition to teaching and serving the Jordanian and Arab society.
It is reported that this list has been prepared by experts from Stanford University, as it relies on the scientific citations of researchers and is based on several indicators, including sources from published research and their number, and the Hirsch coefficient for measuring the scientific productivity of researchers through the global SCOPUS database, which includes summaries and references from articles published in Refereed academic journals and multiple books and publications.
