Faculty of Nursing, AL-Zaytoonah University was established at the beginning of the academic year 1993 / 1994 in response to the needs of the Jordanian society to nurses at a high level of knowledge and science as well as technical skills necessary to cope with rapid changes in the health field at local, regional or International levels.

In 1996 the faculty was accredited according to the faculties accreditation standards (accreditation body).
Our students enrolled in the faculty are either post-high school (Tawjihi) scientific section, nursing diploma students who hold diploma in nursing and the three-year nursing college graduates (bridging program)
Our graduates obtain the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing after completing (132) credit hours taught mostly in English. The various courses in the nursing faculty curriculum are taught nursing, medical and humanitarian modules to help graduates to practice the nursing profession in all health sectors in Jordan and abroad.

The 23rd Executive Committee Meeting of the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties

Amman, Jordan: On the sidelines of the First International Nursing Conference held by Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, the Executive Committee of the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties held its twenty-third meeting. The meeting witnessed the wide participation of deans of nursing colleges from various Arab countries, where many important topics were discussed aimed at promoting education and scientific research in the field of nursing, and enhancing nursing practices in the Arab region.

Jean Watson Visits Nursing College at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan

Amman, Jordan - Dr. Jean Watson, pioneer of the "Human Caring" theory in nursing, visited the College of Nursing at the Jordan University of Zaituna on May.27th.2024 . Dr. Watson delivered a lecture on the "Human Caring" theory and its significance in nursing practice. Dr. Watson also discussed with faculty and students the challenges facing the nursing profession in Jordan and the Arab world.

Nursing Students Win University Colleges Five-a-Side Football Championship

The Nursing Students' team has been crowned a champion of the University Colleges Five-a-Side Football Championship for the second semester of the academic year 2023-2024. The team displayed exceptional skills and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, overcoming all their opponents to claim the title with well-deserved merit.

Honoring professors from the Faculty of Nursing

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Majali, President of Al-Zaytoonah University, honored two faculty members in the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Suhair Al-Ghabeesh, for receiving the Distinguished Professor Honor Award for the year 2023 and Dr. Marwa Al-Barmawi for receiving the Best Research Award for a Faculty Member for the year 2023, which is granted annually by the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties within a set of awards for excellence.

The first international nursing conference

On behalf of Her Royal Highness Princess Mona Al Hussein, Her Excellency Dr Rowaida Al Maaytah, Advisor to Her Royal Highness for Health Affairs, opened the first international nursing conference at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan entitled ‘Trends in Nursing’ with participation of 100 researchers from more than 15 Arab and foreign countries (USA, Britain, India, China, Georgia, Philippines, Italy, Egypt, Lebanon, UAE, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, in addition to the host country Jordan). At the end of the ceremony, Her Excellency Dr Ruwaida Al-Maaytah distributed the memorial shields.

Free Medical Day

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Majali, President of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, the Faculty of Nursing organized a free medical day in cooperation and coordination with Barima Clinics on Monday, 11/12/2023 from ten in the morning until two in the afternoon in the central restaurant hall / second floor, where Prof. Dr. Tariq Al-Qurm, Vice President of the University, cut the opening ribbon and then took a look at the services provided, expressing his admiration for the progress and organization of the event.

Health Educational Awareness Activity

The Faculty of Nursing / Career Activities and Guidance Committee at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized a health, educational and awareness activity under the title "Your Health is Our Concern", which aims to enhance health awareness among students, in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Munir Afishat, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Hassan Abu Al-Raz, faculty members and students.

"Free Medical Day for Vision Examination sponsored by Shami Eye Center"

The College of Nursing, under the auspices of Al-Shami Eye Center and in cooperation with the Activities and Career Guidance Committee, organized a medical event on Tuesday (21/11/2023) in the nursing laboratories, where this event included the staff of Al-Shami Eye Center examining the vision of students in addition to faculty members and a number of administrative workers at the university, and more than100 individuals benefited from this eventof university personnel. This event was supervised by Dr. Manar Bani Hani Eng. Ahlam Fakhoury in addition to a number of students of the Faculty of Nursing.
