Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET)
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan is seeking to be a leading engineering school in the region. The faculty offers educational programs of the highest standards, promotes research and creates scholarly activities of its faculty and students, and provides services to the community at large, while addressing the needs of Jordan and the region. The faculty keans to maintain a challenging and intellectually stimulating environment, and prepares its students to be life-long learners, innovators, and professionals capable of being leaders in their chosen careers, committed to personal integrity and civic responsibility.
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology was established in 2009. The number of students has risen from 49 students in 2009, to 1248 in 2018. One third of them are from neighboring Arab countries. To enhance the competitiveness of the faculty on the national, regional and international levels; the faculty has been able to attract a number of highly qualified academic staff who holds graduate degrees from distinguished universities. In addition, a group of well trained technicians share their skills and expertise in assisting the students in the laboratories and workshops.
The faculty buildings were designed and built according to green architectural concepts. The Ministry of Public Works and Housing awarded a prestigious “Design Consulting Prize” in 2014 for the design achieved. The total area of the faculty is 15,000 square meters, and equipped with around 30 state of the art laboratories spread out throughout its buildings. In addition to fully equipped teaching classes, the faculty includes workshops, computer laboratories, a multi-purpose auditorium, faculty specialized research laboratory and a fully equipped cafeteria. The faculty offers Bachelor of Science degrees in the following programs: Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, Electrical Engineering / Communications and Computer, Electrical Engineering/ Smart Systems and Communications, Electrical Engineering / Power and Control, Mechanical Engineering, Sustainable Energy Engineering and Alternative Energy Technology.
