The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan is seeking to be a leading professional school in the region. The Faculty offers educational programs of the highest standards, promotes research and creative scholarly activities of its faculty and students, and provides services to the community at large, while addressing the needs of Jordan and the region. The Faculty continuous improvement to maintain a challenging and intellectually stimulating environment, and prepares its students to be life-long learners, innovators, and professionals capable of being leaders in their chosen careers, committed to personal integrity and civic responsibility.
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology was established in 2009. The number of students has risen from 49 students in 2009, to 1500 in 2017. One third of them are from neighboring Arab countries. To enhance the competitiveness of the faculty on the national, regional and international levels; the faculty has been able to attract a number of highly qualified teaching staff who holds graduate degrees from distinguished universities. In addition, a group of well trained technicians share their skills and expertise in assisting the students in the labs and workshops.
The faculty buildings were designed and built according to green architectural concepts. The buildings design achieved the Ministry of Public Works and Housing Prestigious “Design Consulting Prize” in 2014. With a total area of 15,000 square meters, the faculty is equipped with around 30 state of the art laboratories spread out throughout its buildings, which include equipment with the highest international standards. In addition to fully equipped teaching classes, the faculty includes workshops, computer labs, a multi-purpose auditorium, faculty specialized research lab and a fully equipped students cafeteria. The faculty offers Bachelor of Science degrees in the following programs: Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, Electrical Engineering / Communications and Computer, Electrical Engineering / Power and Control, Mechanical Engineering, and Alternative Energy Technology program.
